Escalation Process for Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac Defaulted Loans

If you feel that your file has been incorrectly reviewed for a foreclosure alternative or that your loan has been inappropriately referred for foreclosure, you may request an escalated case.

Understanding the Process:

  • A request for an escalated case must be submitted in writing. Please send your letter to our business address (listed above) and put it to the attention of the Escalated Case Team.
  • Once your request is received, a letter will be sent to you within 3 business days notifying you that we are processing your request.
  • A resolution will be reached within fifteen to thirty days. If it will take longer than fifteen days, a second letter will be sent to notify you.
